This maker points to a dirt road used for summer camps. In
the yard of one of the camps (on the left) is a boulder with the
inscription to Major Harmon and Frances Van Buren, both
who settled here after the Revolution and were soldiers of the
Albany County Militia. The grave site is on private land.

LOCATION: Take Vandenburgh Point Road off of Route 30,
past the intersection with Perique Road. The marker is on the
left as well as the dirt road leading to the monument.
